Marijuana Induced Stress Trauma

MIST

Marijuana and Restlessness

Some people notice an increasing sense of restlessness when they get high.

Their bodies are telling them that something’s wrong.

This feeling comes from their liver Qi wanting to get them out of the situation they’ve put themselves in.

Zero Motivation in the Presence of Danger

Yet at the same time marijuana’s grip on the person’s kidney Qi may not allow her/him to motivate and move beyond the danger.

Marijuana Induced Stress Trauma

The paradox between the panic and anxiety and it seeming like they can’t do anything about it creates trauma in the nervous system.

Trauma reprograms the nervous system in an effort to cope with what’s happening.

Over time this trauma and the changes it produces in the nervous system create a syndrome I call MIST, which stands for Marijuana Induced Stress Trauma.

Passivity and Helplessness

MIST sets up a negative pattern of passivity and helplessness in the nervous system.

MIST demonstrates how marijuana doesn’t have to do physical damage to a person’s nervous system to leave negative traces on the way it functions.

Because of MIST, unbalanced marijuana can condition a person to become passive and helpless in his/her life experience.

Our Feedback Mechanisms Exist for Very Good Reasons

The more a person denies his/her feelings and what his/her body is telling her/him to do, the deeper the traumatic split goes into the nervous system.

Please encourage your patients to pay attention to the signals their bodies are giving them.
